About Us
Hope Lasts Forever's mission is to provide Naloxone (Narcan) kits to First Responders assisting those experiencing heroin or opioid overdose, and to families affected by Substance Use Disorder. These Naloxone kits are expensive, and many smaller departments are stretched very thin trying to pay for this life-saving medication.
Our Work
Hope Lasts Forever's mission is to fill the void between financial reality and recovery. Many of the First Responders dedicated to saving lives work for EMS, fire, or police departments with small budgets and volunteer personnel. This makes it very difficult to care for those suffering from an overdose. It should be noted that 75% of those who are suffering from heroin or opioid addiction or dependency started with a legally provided prescription (National Institute of Health (NIH), 2014).
Donations are accepted to finance these Naloxone kits which are then distributed to small departments throughout Kentucky. Hope Lasts Forever is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. The need is great. Please consider helping. People cannot get well and recover if they are not alive. These Narcan kits literally save lives.
